 Bruce AkeDirector of Music and Worship Bruce's roots are well estabished in the Missionary Church. His family roots extend all the way to the founding fathers of the denomination. His home church is the Warren Community Church in Warren, Michigan. Music has always played an important role in his life and in the lives of his entire family. From singing in the children's programs, traveling with the youth choir on various cross country tours, and ministering weekly with the adult choir - singing praises to God has been his passion. Bruce attended Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana on two occassions acquiring two Bachelor Degree's - Biblical Literature [83'] and Church Music [93']. His experience singing in the Concert Choir and traveling and leading the Gospel Teams Program has contributed greatly in how God is using him in his ministry. Bruce married Sherry Turner in 1977 and she is an integral part of the ministry to which God has called them. They have two children, Melissa and Jennilyn.
