 Dean Butterfield Director of Children’s Ministry “I LOVE KIDS! And I love families! My heart for kids developed in 1995 at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference while working in their summer camp programs. Since then, my passion has become to see kids come to know and grow in Christ and to equip parents to live out the legacy to which God has called them. My passion comes from Deuteronomy 6:4-9, to teach children the commandments and love of God at ALL times!” Dean joined Colonial Woods in January, 2007 from Longmont, CO where he was Children’s Ministry Coordinator of Grace Church. He also spent 8 years in social service work in a variety of settings. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Anderson University and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Children’s & Family Ministry from Bethel Seminary in St. Paul, MN. He and Lori were married on April 10, 1999, and have been blessed with four children: Isaac, Selah, Talitha and Elijah. His favorite past time includes watching ‘Heroes’ and ‘American Idol.’ He also enjoys singing and playing various sports.
