About Family Journey In Faith (FJIF)
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. The FJIF team strives to encourage, inspire and equip parents to be intentional in their discipleship and nurturing of their children as they seek to instill Godly values and faith in them. Currently this is done through monthly Take-IT-Home Events and Bi-yearly Family Worship Events for Elementary Families. In the future there will be other opportunities as well, including Family Mission Trips, Parenting Discipleship Seminars and other ideas. |
F.J.I.F. is a developing program designed to come along side parents in the training of their children “fully committed disciples of Christ.” It takes it cue from Deut 6:4-9:
