How do I find The Woods?

Colonial Woods Missionary Church is located at 3240 Pine Grove Ave. in Port Huron, Michigan. This is just north of where I-94 ends at Pine Grove Ave. Click here for a map and directions.

Where should I park?

The main parking lot is located to the rear of the building. Parking for the offices is in the front by the entrance to the north of the building. There are designated spaces in the rear of the building for visitors (map), seniors (map), and those with handicapped designations (map). When looking at the back of church from 12th Ave., the visitor parking spaces are the closest ones to the building on the right (map). Just inside the doors closest to the Visitor’s Parking Spots is the Visitor’s Center (map). Please come there first and we’ll help you find everything you’re looking for. Additional parking during church events is available in the lot across 12th Ave. behind the building. A shuttle runs before and after church between the 12th Ave. lot and the church so people don't have to walk too far.

What should I expect when I visit?

You will find a congregation that is united in its passion to live out the relevant realities of Christ today. Our goal is to lead others to the changed life that we have experienced. We have a variety of services and programs on Sunday for you to choose from:

Worship for the Contemporary
9:00 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. in the main Sanctuary (map)
A blend of traditional songs and styles with more contemporary music, often includes special music presentations, and featuring a Bible-based, challenging and practical message. For more details about this service, click here.

Adult Bible Fellowships and Sunday School classes for youth and children are available at both service times. It is common for people to attend this service and then a class during the opposite morning service.

Click on the appropriate age category to learn more about class options:
Adult Bible Fellowships
Nursery – Kindergarten
Grades 1-5
Jr. High
Sr. High

“Fellowship Time” between services – 10:15 -10:45 a.m.
Please join us for coffee and conversation in our gymnasium (map).

“THE VENUE”
Sunday Morning – 10:45 a.m. in the Chapel (map)
(on the Colonial Woods Campus)
Up-tempo music filled with modern sounds with a video broadcast of the same day’s message from the Contemporary service. For more details about this service, click here.

“THE VENUE” - Live
Saturday Evening – 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel (map)
(on the Colonial Woods Campus)
Up-tempo music filled with modern sounds with live preaching of the same sermon presented on Sunday morning's Contemporary service. Limited childcare is available. For more details about this service, click here.

Sunday Evening
6:00 p.m. in the main Sanctuary (map)
This is a smaller, more traditional service, where we sing 2-3 hymns, and about 3 choruses. The pastor’s message is more of an in depth Bible study/teaching style than the morning sermons. This service generally lasts about 1 hour.

There is also a program for the kids age 2 through Grade 5 called Pioneer Clubs, which is similar to a Christian version of Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts.

Wednesday Evenings
No matter what age you are, or where you are in life, there is a place for you on Wednesday nights at the Woods!  We strive to make Wednesdays an engaging time to appeal to many – from children to youth to singles.

We offer classes for adults, junior high and senior high, and children: nursery through 5th grade.  For our children, our goal is to provide spiritual depth at an age appropriate level.

So come and check us out.  You will come away excited and closer to Christ.

How should I dress?

For all of our services, we want you to be comfortable and wear what you want. Generally, in our 9:30 and 10:45 Worship Celebration Services, people wear what they are comfortable wearing to church. Some enjoy dressing up as they have for years, wearing dresses and suits, while others prefer worshiping in jeans and polo shirts.

However, in the Venue, it is more casual and jeans are almost all you will see.

So, the bottom line – wear what you want. We just want you to be there and enjoy your time with God and us.
